Italian astronaut Paolo Nespoli IZ0JPA is presently performing the Esperia mission, named for the ancient Greek name of the Italian peninsula. The main task of the mission is to attach to the ISS the Italian made Node 2 pressurized module which will allow further extension of the space station.
