Having discussed the schedule for the Nordic Activity Contests
through out the last couple of years the joint Nordic VHF Committees have finally come up with a decision at the annual open Nordic (NRAU) VHF meeting.
The problem causing the revision is the colliding NACs for 50 MHz and
"2,3 GHz and Up" on the fourth Tuesday every month and the recent access
to the 70 MHz band in OZ.
The future NACs will be conducted following this scheme:
- 1st Tuesday 144 MHz NAC as usual
- 2nd Tuesday 432 MHz NAC as usual
- 3rd Tuesday 1,3 GHz NAC as usual
- 4th Tuesday 2,3 GHz and Up NAC as since 2002
- 1st Thursday 28 MHz NAC as since 2004
- 2nd Thursday 50 MHz NAC from 2005
- 3rd Thursday 70 MHz NAC from 2005 in OZ (OY/OX?) only
For all VHF/UHF and Microwave NACs the times will be from 19.00 to 23.00 CET
= local time in LA/OZ/SM. In OH: 20.00 - 24.00 local time.
(The times for the 28 MHz may differ. The rules for 2005 have not been set yet!)
We expect this schedule to last for the years to come.
In case of new developments we have a spare "fourth Thursday"!
For the Nordic VHF committees:
