First Galileo satellite named as it is prepared by SSTL for December launch

The first Galileo satellite was given its official name 'GIOVE' by the Dutch Minister of Transport, Public Works and Water Management, Ms Karla Peijs, in a ceremony at ESTEC with senior ESA and EU staff and attended by over 50 journalists
