Innovative Vertical Dipole Array

Jag läser att DXpeditionen till Ducie Islands kommer att använda en Spiderbeam glasfibermast med deras "innovative vertical dipole arrays".

Känner någon till vad det är för antenn som avses eller om det är en nykonstruktion?

The Vertical dipole array consists of two dipoles that are bent in a slight Vee shape (just like the irector and Reflector of the Spiderbeam Yagi).

Such vertical dipoles work very well near the sea (or actually "in the sea" in the case of VP6DX..) The design was mainly done by DL6LAU and DJ2YA, with a few side comments by DF4SA

After the expedition we will hopefully publish more about the antennas, but in short descripton it is really only a driven element and a reflector, both of them bent a little bit..

I hope it wasn't a secret!

torde inte vara svårt att få ihop en sådan, men det blir ju bara för ett enda band då. Kanske det går att lösa med små lätta traps och få en 2-bands antenn ex 30 / 20 meter.
