*******************************************************************
M[ost] W[anted] 50 + 144 MHz S[quares] + DXCCs europe 2005 **
******************************************************************

Data survey for the 50 and 144 MHz M[ost] W[anted] S[quares] as
well as DXCC countries europe 2005, by Alex IW0GPN, Guido DL8EBW
and Chris PA2CHR together with the German magazine "FUNKTELEGRAMM".

Since 1993 we were running these survey and it is quite nice to
see year by year that a lot of vhf-dx-peditioners use and check it
for finding a good and wanted square for their expeditions.
Again this year we will run these survey, calles:
*
M[ost] W[anted] 50 + 144 MHz S[quares] + DXCCs europe 2005
*
Please check the following rules and send us your informations.
Start will be 19.12.2004 and deadline is 05.03.2005 so we will be
able to spread out the results in begin of april 2005 so everybody
will have a good chance to find a recommended square to activate
in the next season. Here the rules:
*
M[ost] W[anted] 50 + 144 MHz S[quares] + DXCCs europe 2005:
*
Everybody can once send in as many most wanted squares as he wants.
Of course it will be necessary that the wanted squares have to be
in a reachable area from the senders QTH. We recommend:
*
TROPO auf 50 MHz: 500 km ; auf 144 MHz: 800 km
WET-SQR auf 50 MHz: 500 km ; auf 144 MHz: 800 km
MS/ES auf 50 MHz: 3500 km ; auf 144 MHz: 2000 km
DXCC auf 50 MHz: 3500 km ; auf 144 MHz: 2500 km

Example: if you are qrv on 144 MHz tropo you might send a list of
squares in range of 800 km around your QTH, if you qrv also MS/ES
you might send squares in range of 2000 km. Also all "wet" squares
are possible to activate but shall be within your tropo range.
Its your decision if you count only "not worked square", or if you
add the squares pending on confirmation.
*

The prefered method to send your entry in is through a MWD
formated file, that can be made from at least several log-programs
(have a look at the end of these announcement). If your logbook
program does not support the MWD format (created by Bo, OZ2M),
or you do not use a PC based logbook program, you pleased
alternatively submit your entry as an ANSI file (a simple textfile
with name: "call".log - you also can edit your last years file
to send it in, if you was taking part at past year survey):
