Emne: Press Release: Danish UHF Radio Amateur Repeaters Change Input Frequency

Dear Don (IARU Reg.1), dear IARU,

Danish UHF Radio Amateur Repeaters Change Input Frequency 400 kHz Downwards.

Effective from January 1st, 2005, the legislative framework for UHF Amateur
Radio Repeaters in the 70 cm / 435 MHz band in Denmark will change: Input/output
frequency spacing will be 2 MHz instead of 1.6 MHz.

Thus, the new input frequency band will be 432.600 MHz - 432.975 MHz and the
corresponding output frequencies will be (unchanged) at 434.600 MHz - 434.975
MHz. Channel spacing remain unchanged at 25 kHz.

The rationale for the frequency shift is to avoid repeater input frequencies in
the ISM/SRD frequency range centered around 433.920 MHz, ranging from 433.050
MHz - 434.790 MHz.

This positive outcome is first and foremost the result of the combined efforts
from EDR and the very good co-operation EDR enjoys with the Danish
Telecommunication Authorities. EDR expresses a wholeharted thanks to the
Authorities and look forward to using the new spacing.

With best regards and Season's Greetings,

vy 73,

Sven Lundbech
